Intro
WKO Bangladesh is the country branch of the NPO World Karate Organization (WKO) ShinKyokushinKai in Bangladesh. Shihan Kenji Midori leads this global organization from Japan. Let’s call this international body ‘ShinKyokushinKai’. Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain is the appointed Bangladesh branch chief of WKO ShinKyokushinKai and operates under the legal entity of KO Fight Studio. (Check the international link here.)
WKO has now developed into an organization with 100,000 registered members in 102 countries (as of March 2021), and Karate has crossed over all borders, including nationality, race, religion, age, and gender. Karate is loved by the world as a noble Budo (martial art), for it can be trained throughout life and holds the role of strengthening one’s mind and soul. The number of youth practitioners has recently increased at a remarkable rate, and in the context of education, karate dojos (training halls) have attracted significant attention and expectation.
WKO Bangladesh has its activities centred on the three pillars of nurturing youth, contributing to Bangladeshi society, and promoting international exchange of people and culture. It does this by fostering the practice and development of Full Contact Karate through conducting training sessions, coordinating and organizing gradings and seminars, and participating in national and international level tournaments.
