Intro
We will train our hearts and bodies for a firm unshaking spirit.
To train and polish the mind and body, and to acquire a strong will and technique through the serious training of Karate.
We will pursue the true meaning of the Martial Way so that, in time, our senses may be alert.
To deeply pursue the way of Karate as a Budo. To develop strength, one must be able to respond to any situation without wasting any opportunities. Also, to acquire a wealthy heart, one would be able to understand and feel the generosity and pain of other people
With true vigor, we will seek to cultivate a spirit of self-denial.
To develop a strong mind, which would be able to defeat one’s inner weakness, by seriously taking part in Karate training without overly displaying one’s abilities.
We will observe the rules of courtesy, respect our superiors, and refrain from violence.
To respect one’s superiors, to be well-mannered, to refrain from acts of violence, and to refrain from showing off the power of Karate in front of others.
We will follow our religious principles and never forget the true virtue of humility.
We need to respect the laws of nature and the universe, which humanity has no control over. At the same time, we shall always remember to respect the divine. By keeping this in mind, one would acquire a modest and humble attitude, which would never change in any situation.
We will look upward to wisdom and strength, not seek other desires.
To be both a good warrior and a good scholar by acquiring knowledge, wisdom, and strength at the same time. This will enable one to make a precise judgment at an important time.
All our lives, through the discipline of Karate, we will seek to fulfill the true meaning of the Kyokushin Way.
The way of Karate, as a Budo, is a lifetime pursuit, and the essence of Karate must be acquired through lifetime training. Do not fear experience, for the essence of Karate is in this experience.
